This project explores the imagery, conditions & engagement between public and private lands along the gulf coast of Northwest Florida. These common spaces are a potent intersection, critical to the health of community and ecosystem, a privilege and a necessity in equal measure. The work calls into question the idea of ownership, environmental resources, class and access. The goal is to have the viewer stand with me & place themselves into both the physical and cultural landscape of this region. This works investigates our collective need to be included in the social structures of this world, to be able to travel, and to find peace, to re-group with our families and communities. The question remains, just how far do we need to go?
