Reminiscent: Texture and Place Now Showing at the Lyceum Gallery

The Derryfield School Lyceum Gallery proudly presents Reminiscent: Texture and Place, featuring artwork by Stacey Durand and Erik Nohalty. The artwork in this dynamic exhibit possess a dreamlike quality, capturing layered moments in time; the familiar with the surreal.

Erik Nohalty blurs the line between drawing and sculpture by working in graphite—“I carve the surface with lights and darks, constructing space though value.” Nohalty is inspired by familiar surroundings that are often overlooked or ignored. “I draw from reference and memory together, capturing a moment in time, space before it evaporates, within the ever–changing landscape.”

Reminiscent: Texture and Place runs from November 16 through January 15. There will be a reception for the artists on Thursday, December 10, from 5:30-7:00 p.m.
